作詞・作曲は、ジョン・デンバー、ビル・ダノフ（Bill Danoff）、タフィー・ナイバート（Taffy Nivert）の共作です。

日本でもカントリー・ロードと言えば多くの人が聞いたことがある曲で、複数の歌手がカバーしています。
